Riga Castle restoration

The restoration and reconstruction of Riga Castle is being carried out in two stages: stage I – reconstruction and restoration of the Riga Castle forecastle and the Eastern annex; stage II – restoration and reconstruction of the castle’s castellum part.

One of Latvia’s oldest and most beautiful buildings has regained its historical splendour – in 2015 the Riga Castle forecastle and Eastern annex (stage I) were put into operation.

During the reconstruction and restoration, the presidential chancellery premises located in the Eastern annex of the castle were renewed, as well as the office of the head of state, meeting halls, press service workplaces and representation rooms. Each of them was restored to its historical appearance while applying modern functionality and quality.

As part of the reconstruction, the Līmenī team carried out floor repair and restoration works.
